I&#39;m a hardcore fan of old-school Godzilla films -- I&#39;m talking the really badly overdubbed ones where Godzilla is clearly a dude in a lizard suit. And of course the original black-and-white film, which actually is very chilling and metaphorical.<br /><br />This one, however? Crap. Total crap.

Independance Day, The Patriot and The Day After Tomorrow have all been guilty pleasures of mine, but this film absolutely pales in comparrison.<br /><br />Normally characters in Emmerich films are unbelievable, but they are usually interesting as a result. None of the actors brought much to the table here.
